Introduction

My name is Laycee Drake, I'm a sophomore here, majoring in English!

In this movement, I'm focusing on athletes who have been given lighter consequences (if any) for their wrongs simply because of their talents. I could go on and on with examples of athletes who have broken the law, but seem to escape jail time, but I'll just stick with my why. Professional athletes (NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, etc.) have had a huge impact on my life as well as so many others, and having a guy who is hurting women, or children be a big part of an organization is showing kids that this type of stuff is okay. As long as you have a big name, laws won't apply to you! That's what all of this behavior will teach kids, and I'm happy to really dig into a movement that isn't talk about nearly enough.
