Here are some of the sources I found to keep up with my movement- the environmental/food sustainability movement.
1) Instagram Account @conservationorg:
This Instagram account discusses various tips for sustainable living. They post daily, describing new ways to repurpose certain materials, reduce environmental footprints, and more. They focus on the impact that human actions have on the various species on the planet. Additionally, their account includes highlights of different conservation and sustainability events (including Earth Day celebrations!)
2) Twitter Account @sustainableag:
This account posts almost daily, detailing current changes and attempted changes in government policy. They provide information about how both farmers and civilians can get involved through surveys, town halls, and more. The account has a somewhat large following of 26.1k followers. A level of following like this allows them to really disseminate this information to a wide audience. They link to both their own content and content from other organizations that convey the same message. They also highlight individual stories of what activists are doing to make their own impact.
3) Twitter Account @UN_SDG:
This account, run by the United Nations Sustainable Development Group, provides updates on more global happenings in the movement. Due to their connection with the UN, they have a lot of detailed insider information about conferences, meetings, and legislation changes around the world. The short-form nature of Twitter allows them to disseminate information in a concise way. They also highlight the initiatives that smaller countries and businesses are doing to help promote more sustainable practices. Almost all of their tweets also link to outside sources.
