Above is an image from Partners For Youth’s Twitter post that simply explains red and green flags in relationships that youths could experience. It is an informative post to let people know that negative relationships do exist. One thing this post mentions is that “1 in 3 students experience relationship violence by someone they’re dating.” Mental health can deteriorate due to the negative effects that a person can cause to someone else. Knowing that youths can be involved in a relationship that impacts them negatively is important especially because there are ways that they can be helped/supported.

On the other end, there are positive relationships and signs to look for in a person to know that they are going to be a positive person to get involved with. Knowing what the green flags are can better prepare someone for red flags as well. There’s a common courtesy that everyone should show each other especially if they are dating. Young people and even adults involved with their (young people’s) lives should know the signs that their youths are okay mentally and are interacting with people that will keep them happy or at least support them in whatever ways they can.

While simple, this post is very informative especially if it were to pick up traction. Posts like these can be shared and re-shared so that more people know what they can do to continuously support young people and keep them informed of what to look for in order to keep their mental health from declining.
