For this weeks blog, I am adding 3 of my favorite accounts/sources that keep me up to date, and engaged with my movement!
@UNODC_AC on Twitter (UNODC Anti-Corruption and Economic Crime): This account posts often on corruption for not only sports, but crime around the world, and their keenness in creating peace has been charming. Easy to follow, and digs deep into the sports world to find the base of corruption!
Crime In Sports Podcast: This podcast is one of the best! One can listen to it on almost any streaming platform, and they will learn a lot. Reviews for this podcast will talk about the humor they use, which obviously is not appropriate for the topic at hand, but all of their information is factual, and up to date. This is where I go to get a lot of fast information about crime in sports 3 decades ago, or 2 weeks ago!
@offsportsplace on Twitter (The Sports Place): This is undoubtedly my favorite account on any app. While they give updates on trades, statistics, great plays in a game, etc. - They are the first to tweet about an athlete who had committed a crime, and the account stays up to date on each new case as well!
Those are my 3! I thought it was important to share 3 sources that all give a different outlook on my movement. I can go to UNODC for the side of any case that people rarely talk about, but is one of the most critical sides to any situation. They also share ways to help participate in activism! I can listen to the podcast to find an athlete who has committed a crime in any time period (more for the history of my movement). And then I can go to The Sports Place for any update on a present case, or to learn about a new crime!
